I grew up in the countryside, where I enjoyed an idyllic childhood deeply influenced by the rise of the Internet and video games. My passion for filmmaking began thanks to my father, who gave me the opportunity to shoot my first films on a VHS camera. After graduating from the Gymnasium in my hometown Povazska Bystrica, Slovakia, I found myself at a crossroads, unsure of what path to take. Eventually, I was accepted into the Academy of Arts in Banska Bystrica, where I started my journey in documentary filmmaking. I went on to study at the Studio of Documentary Film Directing at the University of Performing Arts in Bratislava, where I completed my MA degree (2024). Throughout my studies, I focused on exploring the world and the people within it through a socio-critical lens, reflecting on the current issues facing Slovaks. My work includes the bachelor's film "After the Wedding" and the master's film "My Uncles", both of which delve into personal stories that resonate with broader social themes.
